"Responsible"

What do you understand about the word 'responsible'..most people understand but few people have it..responsible means the ability to react proactively in any curcumstances in their live..sort of all responsible is 'response-able'. How do you response when you engage in any problem for example; u were missing a class and your lecture get mad with you. What is your response to that condition? another simple example is; u break your roomate precious jug accidentally, in result, your roomate get upset and plan to kick your ass with the help of his/her gangster..in this condition what is your response?
