Istilah bappa borek anak rintik memang betul-betul ngam sama ni urang. Kalau bapa dah namanya taiko mencuri, mimang senang-senang saja dia mendidik anak di tu jadi pencuri juga. KOTA KINABALU: Police have arrested a family of four for power cable theft. A 39-year-old man and his three teenage sons, aged between 15 and 18 were caught red-handed while stealing cables in Tuaran a few days ago. State CID Chief SAC Omar Mammah disclosed this to New Sabah Times in an interview at the state police contingent headquarters in Kepayan yesterday. He said with their arrest, police have solved 28 cable theft cases reported in Tuaran, Beaufort, Papar and several other areas in the west coast.

“We have also seized a 4WD vehicle from the suspects,” he said.

Omar said the man and his sons are being remanded to facilitate further investigation. We want to know who they have sold the stolen cables to.

“We will take action against the buyers ,” Omar said.

In April, a cable thief in his 30s was shot dead when he attempted to attack a policeman with a machete while his accomplice, 38, was injured in the right thigh. The incident happened at KM6 of the Ranau-Telupid Road and some 100 metres of stolen cables found near two Proton Wira cars were seized.

“We have now crippled two cable theft gangs and solved 39 cases,” Omar added.

Meanwhile, he urged the public to help police combat power cable theft. To a question, Omar said the state’s crime index as of yesterday has been reduced to 14.7 per cent with a solving rate of 43.54 per cent which surpassed the national target of 20 per cent.

Dengar-dengar, kalau mencuri kabel elektrik ni memang cepat kaya. Tapi buat apa jadi kaya kalau sumber kekayaan itu hasil daripada mencuri. Tidak berkat. Sekejap ja mo kaya tapi sekejap juga tu hidup mo hancur. Kata orang putih bilang, "serve your right" kan..atau yang paling femes kena panggil S.O.B..Lagi satu, kalau kena karan masa mencuri tu, nah! free free ja kena panggang hidup-hidup.
