Haha..another problem that always make the parents knocking thier head. One thing teenagers seem to do universally well is sleep in. Waking them up can seem as risky as disturbing a hibernating bear. If your teen refuses to get up in the morning, the pattern is not necessarily unbreakable. There are a variety of approaches you can take to correct the behavior and its underlying causes. You might never turn your teen into a morning person, but you can make sure he gets to school on time.
1
Set a timetable for homework after school. Sleeping in can be caused by a teenager staying up late to complete assignments. Make sure you teenager comes home and does a couple of hours of homework before dinner. Have him finish the remainder immediately after dinner. Offer to help your teen with his homework, which will enable you to make sure he completes it on time.
2
Make sure your teenager gets to bed at a decent hour. If your teenager has to wake up at 7 a.m., she should be in bed by 10 or 11 p.m. the night before. Negotiate with your teen to come up with an appropriate regular bedtime that works for both of you.
3
Place an alarm clock somewhere where your teen cannot hit the snooze button over and over again. Put it across the room so your teenager has to stand up in the morning to turn it off. Turn the thermostat a few degrees colder in the morning to help your teen wake up when he gets out of bed.
4
Keep a relatively similar schedule on the weekends for your teenager. She will have trouble waking up early on a Saturday or Sunday, but keeping the routine going will help preserve it for weekdays.
Hope this tips can help you to know how to get your teens out of their bed.
